We measure up to the high standards of

the American Animal Hospital Association.

AAHA Accreditation aaha

AAHA stands for the American Animal Hospital Association.  This is an international association of 2900 practice teams who primarily treat companion animals.

We are an AAHA-accredited practice, which means that we meet AAHA’s
extensive standards for patient care and hospital services. AAHA’s standards help
ensure that we provide your pets with the highest quality health care possible.

Our accreditation is intended to assure you that we are committed to bringing you and your pets the best service and care that you both deserve.

The Token Creek Veterinary Clinic has passed the rigorous evaluations required to become accredited by the AAHA and is only clinic in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin to receive this honor.

Currently there are only five other practices in the Madison area that are accredited, with the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine being one of them.  Only 14% of veterinary clinics hold the "AAHA-accredited" designation, which means they are practicing the highest quality medicine possible.

As part of the dedication to quality pet care, AAHA developed Standards of Accreditation that are widely used as benchmarks to measure excellence in veterinary medicine.  It is a volunteer process in which a practice is evaluated and must pass inspection on ALL of the following:

  • Anesthesia
  • Contagious Disease
  • Dentistry
  • Emergency/Urgent Care
  • Housekeeping/Maintenance
  • Laboratory
  • Medical Records
  • Patient Care
  • Safety
  • Client Service
  • Continuing Education
  • Diagnostic Imaging
  • Examination Facilities
  • Human Resources
  • Leadership
  • Pain Management
  • Pharmacy
  • Surgery
