Dr. Amber Mayne DVM

Veterinarian, Medical Director

Dr. Amber Mayne is a 2011 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and has been a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist since 2014. With over 25 years of experience in the veterinary field, Dr. Mayne brings a well-rounded and compassionate approach to patient care, combining traditional medicine with complementary therapies to support each pet’s overall well-being. She lives in Sun Prairie with her partner, Ken, and their lively household of rescued animals — including several rescue dogs, cats, and a parrot named Boy Chicken. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mayne enjoys practicing Pilates and running agility courses with her chihuahua, Tandem, and Italian Greyhound, Tessa. Her dedication to animal health extends beyond medicine; she’s passionate about building strong relationships with clients and helping them understand and strengthen their bond with their pets.

Dr. Sonja Covington DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Sonja Covington is a 1995 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. Before pursuing her veterinary degree, she proudly served in the U.S. Army for three years, an experience that reinforced the dedication and discipline she brings to her veterinary career today. With over four decades of experience in veterinary medicine, Dr. Covington enjoys her work and is passionate about providing compassionate, stress-free care for both pets and their owners. She believes in open communication and takes time to ensure every client fully understands their pet’s health and treatment plan. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Covington enjoys her family, reading, camping, fishing, the outdoors and travelling. She is also active in Scouting America as an adult leader and enjoys mentoring young people in both Scouts and Veterinary Medicine. She shares her life with her husband, their son and her beloved Rough Coated Collie, Kasha.

Dr. Amanda Falch DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Amanda Falch is a 2002 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and brings over 20 years of experience to our team. Her passion for pain management, senior care, and stress-free veterinary visits has guided much of her professional journey. In 2013, she became certified in Canine Rehabilitation, and in 2018, she earned her Fear Free certification — both reflecting her dedication to helping pets heal comfortably and confidently. Dr. Falch finds great fulfillment in working with rehabilitation patients, helping them recover from surgery, manage arthritis, or improve strength and mobility to prevent injuries. An avid animal lover, she also enjoys caring for pocket pets and birds. Outside the clinic, Dr. Falch enjoys hiking, kayaking, and cross-country skiing. She lives with her husband, two sons, and her beloved cat, Pistachio — who’s known for his charming collection of hats!

Dr. Mary Kraft-Lee DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Mary Kraft is a 1990 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and brings over three decades of experience to our team. Before joining our clinic, she co-founded and practiced at a veterinary hospital in Middleton for 27 years, where she built lasting relationships with clients and their pets through compassionate, high-quality care. Dr. Kraft lives in Sun Prairie with her husband, Tom, and their daughter, Nicole. She also has a daughter, Michele, a son-in-law, Alex, and a son, Danny. Their household includes two Golden Retrievers, Charlie and Jovie, and a rescue cat, Chanel! A strong advocate for advancing animal health, Dr. Kraft is a proud participating veterinarian in the Morris Animal Foundation’s Golden Retriever Lifetime Study, a landmark project dedicated to improving the health and longevity of dogs everywhere. Outside the clinic, Dr. Kraft enjoys spending time with her family and pets, quilting, crafting, gardening, and impressing her colleagues with her remarkable cookie-decorating skills — a hidden talent that never fails to delight!

Dr. Alyssa Montes DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Montes grew up in Connecticut and throughout the East Coast. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Sciences from the University of Delaware in 2020. Dr. Montes graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. Her professional interests include internal medicine and acupuncture.

Dr. Montes enjoys spending time with her dog, Indy, and her partner, Dr. Rubio. She loves reading, collecting perfumes, and going on adventures with Indy.

Becky BS, CVT

Certified Veterinary Technician, Hospital Administrator

Becky joined our team in February 2021 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our clinic. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Life Science from Northland College (2006) and is a proud graduate of Madison College’s Veterinary Technician Program (2008). In addition to her clinical experience, Becky has demonstrated strong leadership and administrative skills, ensuring efficient operations and fostering a collaborative team environment that prioritizes exceptional patient care. Becky resides in Madison with her husband, Nick, and their two children, Charlie and Emberlyn, along with a lively group of two dogs and three cats. Beyond her professional role, Becky enjoys spending time with family and pursuing creative interests, including painting, quilting, and reading.

Kristal, CVT

Lead Certified Veterinary Technician

Kristal is our Lead Certified Veterinary Technician and joined the Token Creek family in October 2024, bringing over 24 years of experience to the Token Creek Veterinary Clinic team. In addition to providing exceptional medical care to her patients, Kristal plays a key role in keeping the clinic running smoothly and efficiently. From mentoring team members to coordinating daily operations, she ensures that every patient receives the highest level of care and every visit runs seamlessly. Kristal is especially passionate about helping sick and injured pets recover and return home healthy and happy to their families. Her dedication, organization, and compassion make her an essential part of our clinic’s success. Outside of work, Kristal enjoys hiking, reading, and watching documentaries — and when she has some downtime, she loves diving into the imaginative worlds of science fiction.

Michel, CVT

Certified Veterinary Technician

Michel joined the Token Creek Veterinary Clinic team in the spring of 2020, bringing with her over 30 years of experience in veterinary medicine. A Madison native, she earned her Veterinary Technician degree from Madison Area Technical College in 1994. After working at several clinics in the Madison area, Michel found her home here at Token Creek, where her compassion, experience, and dedication shine every day. Michel currently resides in Sun Prairie with her partner and their two black Labradors, Stella and Hank. She enjoys spending time with her partner, his children, and grandchildren, volunteering with Lost Dogs of Wisconsin, pet sitting, and soaking up the outdoors — whether at the family cabin up north, boating on the water, or simply enjoying a sunny day. In her quieter moments, Michel loves reading, photography, and tending to her flower garden.

Kristie, CVT

Certified Veterinary Technician

After growing up in a small town in Northern Illinois, Kristie moved to Madison in 2016 to pursue a career as a Veterinary Technician. Upon graduation from Madison College’s veterinary technician program in May 2019, she moved to Sun Prairie with her husband, Carlos who is a local real estate broker and small business owner; they are proud cat parents to two rescues: Lovvle (Sir Loves a Lot) and Pigeon (Salacious P Squab). Outside of the clinic, Kristie spends her time competing in pageants, volunteering with Lasagna Love, and running a local nonprofit: Becca’s Closet of Beloit. One of Kristie’s biggest passions is advocating for mental health, especially in the veterinary field.

Rachel F, CVT

Certified Veterinary Technician

Rachel F graduated from University of Wisconsin – Platteville in 2019 with a bachelor’s in animal science. She then went on to pursue her veterinary technician degree at Madison College, graduating in 2021. Rachel F joined the TCVC team in September 2025. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking/camping with her dog (Brandi) and husband (TJ). She also enjoys time at the lake, reading, bowling and weight lifting.

Kathy, CVT

Certified Veterinary Technician

Kathy is a compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician who graduated from the Madison Area Technical College Veterinary Technician program. With approximately 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Kathy joined the Token Creek Veterinary Clinic family in 2024. Her journey into the field was inspired by her first cat, Bear, whose health challenges sparked her passion for helping animals and supporting their families through every stage of care. Kathy lives in Sun Prairie with her husband, two sons, JJ and Tyler, and their beloved pets — two dogs, Cora and Serafina, and three cats, Sully, Eddie, and Phoenix. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys skiing, reading, and spending quality time with her family. Kathy’s dedication, empathy, and love for animals make her a valued member of our team, ensuring every patient receives attentive and compassionate care.

Makenzie

Veterinary Assistant

Makenzie graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a bachelor’s degree in zoology. She is currently starting her last semester of the Veterinary Technician program at Madison College. She shares her home with her partner and four cats: Binx, Carlos, Anakin, and Graham Cracker. Makenzie loves watching bad reality tv and coloring in her free time.

Emma B

Veterinary Assistant

Emma has been a Veterinary Assistant since 2021 and is currently working toward her Veterinary Technician certification through the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Platteville with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She is passionate about providing compassionate care to pets and supporting their families every step of the way. Outside of work, Emma enjoys hiking, backpacking, crocheting, gardening, reading, serving in her church, and horseback riding. She shares her home with her sweet Great Dane, Piper, and two cuddly cats, Kevin and Doug. Emma’s favorite part of her job is helping ensure every pet receives the best care possible and also supporting their humans along the way.

Veterinary Assistant

My name is Aspen. I’ve been working at Token Creek Veterinary Clinic for one year but have worked in animal settings my whole life. I’ve wanted to be in veterinary medicine since I was in first grade and always loved all types of animals. My interests outside of veterinary medicine are going for walks when it’s nice out, crafting, and spending a lot of time studying for school. I have two cats named Chester and Willow. I also have a 7-year-old rabbit named Luna. I graduate from Madison Area Technical college with my vet tech degree in May 2027.

Rachel D

Veterinary Assistant

I am currently enrolled at Madison Technical College, where I am working toward my Veterinary Technician degree. I’ve known I wanted to work in veterinary medicine since elementary school, when I dressed up as a veterinarian for career day, and that passion has only grown over the years. I am deeply committed to helping fill animals’ lives with as much care, comfort, and love as possible. Outside of work and school, I enjoy reading, baking, taking my pups to the dog park, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Kathryn

Customer Service Representative

Kathryn joined TCVC in February 2025, bringing with her a wealth of customer service experience and a lifelong love for animals. Her warm and approachable nature makes her a wonderful addition to our team. Kathryn lives in Sun Prairie with her husband, Jeff, and their dog, Stella. She is passionate about providing compassionate care to every family and their pets, ensuring they feel supported and valued during every visit. Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys spending quality time with her grandkids, tending to her garden, and staying active through golfing and kayaking. One of her favorite escapes is heading up north to the family cabin, where she can relax and recharge in nature. Her dedication, kindness, and enthusiasm for both people and pets truly make her an asset to TCVC.

Cristie

Customer Service Representative

Cristie joined our team in early 2025 as a Customer Service Representative, bringing over 15 years of experience in veterinary reception. She truly loves what she does and is a familiar, friendly face at Token Creek Veterinary Clinic. Cristie is always happy to help pets and their people feel comfortable. Outside of work, she often cares for other people’s animals in their homes, treating them as if they were her own. Cristie shares her home with her cat, Madison, and has a big heart for animals of all kinds.

Lindsey

Customer Service Representative

Lindsey is a Customer Service Representative at Token Creek Veterinary Clinic, bringing a strong background in veterinary medicine to every client interaction. She is a former Certified Veterinary Technician with over 10 years of experience, including work with both traditional pets and non-traditional exotic species. Her career also includes time at an integrative medicine practice and two years as an educator in a Veterinary Technology college program. Lindsey enjoys using her extensive knowledge to help clients feel informed, supported, and confident in their pets’ care. Outside of work, she spends her time with her three daughters and her two cats, Pepper Jack and Steve, and she’s known for her positive attitude and genuine love for helping both people and animals.
